The Invoice App from Continentale Krankenversicherung a.G. allows you to submit documents for your health and long-term care insurance (invoices, prescriptions, medical orders, etc.) on the go using your smartphone or tablet.

Activate additional features – such as the digital mailbox, document storage, and device synchronization – with the TAN that we automatically send to you by postal mail.

Register once, then you’re good to go

Provide your 9-digit insurance number (e.g., 012345678), your first and last name, and your date of birth. You can find your insurance number on your insurance card, policy certificate, or claim settlements. Once you receive confirmation of your registration, you can submit your documents. This eliminates the need to send original documents by mail.

Convenient submission - anytime, anywhere

Easily scan the QR codes on your invoice with your smartphone or tablet. If there are no codes printed, simply take a photo of the invoice or upload PDF documents. With the app, securely send your invoice data encrypted to Continentale and promptly receive a transmission confirmation.

Our tip:

Before submitting your documents, please make sure to check if the potential refund* is higher than the expected reimbursement for your calendar year's invoices. In this case, we recommend not submitting any invoices. A multi-year comparison can also be beneficial.

Digital mailbox

Upon request, many documents (e.g., claim settlements, benefit approvals) that would typically be sent by mail are delivered to the digital mailbox. Individuals solely covered under the contract do not receive mail through the app. We notify about new documents with a push message. Certain documents like letters with forms to fill out or time-limited benefit approvals continue to be sent by postal mail.

Reminder before submitting invoices and document storage

If your health insurance plan allows for a refund*, you can “park” your invoices. Before submitting any documents, please verify if the potential refund is higher than the expected reimbursement for your calendar year's invoices. In this case, we recommend refraining from submitting invoices. A multi-year comparison can be valuable.

* Premium refund, lump-sum benefit, claim-free reward

We regularly send you an overview of your potential premium refund or lump-sum benefit by postal mail. You usually receive this letter in December. Keep this letter safe. If the digital mailbox in the Continentale Invoice App is activated, you will also receive the letter through the digital mailbox.

High security and device synchronization

Sophisticated encryption methods ensure maximum security. All your data is transmitted encrypted. Only Continentale Krankenversicherung a.G. can decrypt your data again.

Your submissions and documents are permanently saved for you upon successful TAN entry and synchronized across all registered devices. Nothing gets lost in case of switching devices in the future.
